happy stuff

April 30, 2008

- the scandal is BACK and is feeding us, hopefully something atas.
- BSM kids are scarily efficient and an interesting bunch. look like fun (and stressful) times ahead and I worried for nothing. yay!
- conversations with lover seems to pick off from yesterday even though the last time we met was AGES ago. and I’m seeing her again end week :)
- my trooper and the repaired M4.

Btw, results are crap – one more reason to accelerate plans to marry into the mob.

have and have nots

April 27, 2008

have:
watched 8 backdated episodes of CSI in one sitting

have nots:
cleared my areas (i’m the messiest person in the entire house).
finished up all of the russia nonsense (how to when I get email and sms spams from my boss on a sunday?)
booked my tickets to spain.
gotten more money from daddy and mummy.

hooray for screwed up priorities. but hey, before the next 8 weeks of crazy starting tomorrow (i do bitch a lot about it but i’m totally looking forward into marrying into the mob come june. haha), i’m the queen of my universe today.

Overworked

April 26, 2008

is when you finally decides to hide away and read when one phone call later, you are accessing to your email on your cellphone.

is when you wake up after 3 pathetic hours of sleep because you remember that you havent prepared invitation cards yet.

The Russia trip had better be worth it.

Quid pro quo

April 22, 2008

You are where you are today because you stand on somebody’s shoulders. And wherever you are heading, you cannot get there by yourself. If you stand on the shoulders of others, you have a reciprocal responsibility to live your life so that others may stand on your shoulders. It’s the quid pro quo of life. We exist temporarily through what we take, but we live forever through what we give.
- Vernon Jordan

There are no classes in life for beginners; right away you are always asked to deal with what is most difficult.
- Rainer Maria Rilke

April 21, 2008

I witnessed all my biatches being drunk. Except for shan. Who is totally going to get it when she comes back :)

And I have never been in any bizcom gatherings without alcohol and/or gambling. Shoots!

Carol Ann Duffy’s Prayer

April 17, 2008

“Some days, although we cannot pray, a prayer
utters itself. So, a woman will lift
her head from the sieve of her hands and stare
at the minims sung by a tree, a sudden gift.

Some nights, although we are faithless, the truth
enters our hearts, that small familiar pain;
then a man will stand stock-still, hearing his youth
in the distant Latin chanting of a train.

Pray for us now. Grade 1 piano scales
console the lodger looking out across
a Midlands town. Then dusk, and someone calls
a child’s name as though they named their loss.

Darkness outside. Inside, the radio’s prayer -
Rockall. Malin. Dogger. Finisterre.”
